I have a bunion and bunionnette on both of my feet. My mom has bunions, my aunt has bunions and my grandmother has bunions. Yeah you get the idea, it’s a family thing. I just happen to have the bunionnette. My surgeries happen to be free as I am in National Service (compulsory military) for about 12 years, 2 years full time and another 10 years based on call (the army will call me back almost every year to serve for a few weeks) but I’ll definitely go through the bill and my experiences.

3 surgeries dated on 31 Jan 2020, 4 Jan 2022 and 29 March 2022. I’ll my make the readers life easier, I’ll go through the numbers of all 3 and what you need to know if you intend to undergo this surgery. The next few paragraphs will be my experience in the hospital and post operation.

First surgery really bad headache, so much pain. Only general anesthesia so I’m fully unconscious of what is happening duh. After 1 night got discharged. Got infection 2 weeks later, got admitted back in hospital for 2 weeks, can walk within 2mths, many complications. Did a nerve test, did physiotherapy and lastly found out the screw angle was off a micro or millimeter and got caught in my tendon so I couldn’t bend my big toe.

Second surgery dream about eating KFC while unconscious. There is local anesthesia on my left foot on top of general anesthesia when I woke up I feel really numb on the foot. Recovered quick, after 2 weeks can walk already.

Third surgery, did regional anesthesia, 4 injections total, 1 in 1 out for iv drip because the vein didn’t pop out, 1 near the butt area, 1 near the groin area, 2 nights then discharge because the pain is unbearable during the first night, met a nice guy Wu Ling went through computer stuff, 1st night unbearable pain asked for stronger painkillers, they gave tramadol instead of paracetamol and it really helps. 2nd night more dosage of pain killers and even slept during a discord call.
